OBEDIENCE

                284955_196436830413615_100001418995841_509512_7756828_n_large

i hate rules, I hate laws, I even hate codes of ethics, basically anything that tells me what to do and how to live. I mean I actively protest against it. So when i read the 10 commandments I had the same reaction that many of you 1st had, "what the heck, are you freaking kidding me?! I'm suppose to do all this?" It definiately  did not inspired  me to be a better person, and like usual i actively sought to protest them. But as time went on, and my knowledge of Christ increased I began to hate them less, given i wish still breaking every single rule but at least now it wasn't out of spite. I was kinda like "Jesus is pretty cool but His rules are retarded". I couldn't get why He was riding me so hard. I mean i was a good enough person. Then i hit rock bottom, my consequences finally caught up with my sins. I was in a bad place, losing the respect of my family and friends. Turns out lying, stealing, cheating.and jealousy aren't good traits in a friend. And after breaking the sabbath and putting any and everything above G-d i felt too ashamed  and too embarrassed to ask for forgiveness. My anti law crusade came to a disasterous end. I took all of that to make one simple fact sink in.. The laws are there because G-d loves me, because He loves everyone. He didn't want me to get to that point where i lost everything and he didn't want me running around hurting his other children. All his laws are centered around love, loving Him, loving yourself, and loving others. His rules aren't there for opression, in fact they save you from a heap of grief. That alone is a good enough reason to follow them, but theere's also other benefits of obedience..Blessings. As if a stress free life wasn't great enough G-d decided to make your life a zillion times better. Things i wanted, oppurtunites, they all opened up for me  when i was living  in a way that pleased G-d. The Man looooves to lavish His children with gifts. If your still not sold than think of this final point. G-d is nothing but good, he cant associate with evil, so when your out law breaking you are covering yourself in a sin filth and thus seperating yourself from G-d and His Favour..

What G-d says

Jeremiah 11 : 4 – 5 -Obey me and do everything I command you, and you will be my people, and I will be your God. 5) Then I will fulfill the oath I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey ” – the land you possess today. ”
~
John 9 : 31 -We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will.
~
John 14 : 21 -Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.
~
Acts 5 : 29 -Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men!” (even yourself, His will before your own)

Strength

Seriously, I could use some super powers right about now..
I am constantly feeling overwhelmed. I have so much on my plate: work, school, relationships. I dont know if i can handle it all and then to top it off this christianity thing is really hard somestimes. being the bigger person, forgiving my enemies, resisting temptations.. Im not strong enough for this.. I wish life was easier.

What G-d says

ISAIAH 40:31 - But those who hope in the L-RD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

PHILIPPIANS 4:13 - I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

PSALMS 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

I can think of  million scenerios that I wouldn't wanna be in: Calculus class, employee reviews, a cage with a hungry tiger, having dinner with my ex's..( I'd take the tiger before the ex's dinner in a heartbeat) But its nice to know that if I were ever in situation that was beyond my power that Jesus would step in and take control. Maybe you can just about anything that life throw your way or maybe just getting out of bed is a challenge, either way G-d is there to be your strength. Being a human automatically means we have weaknesses, there's gonna be times when we have task greater than our ability. But this doesn't mean we have to feel discouraged, because these are the exact moments that G-d works best. He's great at doing the impossible.. its kinda His specialty. When you get to that point when your about to give up, better yet BEFORE you get to that point ask G-d to give you strength, than relax, fully trusting that through Him you cn handle any situation that comes your way.
Forgiving that girl who stole your boyfriend - Done.
Passing a test you didn't reaaaally study for - Done.
Impressing the boss in a hard job interview - Done.
You name it and G-d will help you handle it! Isn't it nice to have access to such POWER?

WONDERFUL

Im sure we could all think of tons of things we's like to change about ourselves. Personally I'd like to be taller and have Beyonce's measurements.. For some crazy reason we tend to slip into self hate mode, naming off all our flaws and imperfections. But is this self loathing sacrilegious?  If G-d made us, then dissing His handiwork..it's kinda like dissing Him right?

What G-d says

PSALMS 139:14 "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

GENESIS 1:27-"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

1 PETER 3:3-4- "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. 4 Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."

1 CORINTHIANS 6:19- "You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit who is in you."

Confidence is a huge deal, it effects the way we dress, act, the opportunities we chase, you name it. The way you view yourself plays a big role in how the world views you. Sadly there's a widespread epidemic of low self esteem going on. People can name off all the things that are wrong with them but are at a lost for words when it comes to naming their great traits. Media just caters to this insecurity, setting impossible standards of beauty and offering shallow solutions. "Buy this lipstick, it'll make you beautiful! Your not skinny enough, take this pill!" It's no wonder we feel like crap, were listening to the wrong people. Psalms 139 talks about how wodnerfully we  were made, how G-d took the time to make  us fabulous, then to top it off instilled in us talents and traits that make us uniquely beautiful. G-d who made  incredible sunsets simply by speaking made you by hand. Do you get how special that makes you? You are beautiful.  If we truely knew just how beautiful we were we could put maybelline out of business. We have the wrong idea of beauty.. its not all looks and glam. 1 Peter 3:3-4 says your beauty doesn't come from your adornments, hair, or clothes, but from your heart.. You could look like Giselle but if your ugly on the inside in G-d's eyes your hideous. He's not impressed by a pretty face. Idk about you  but it's nice to knw G-d cares more about my heart rather than the size of my thighs. G-d is perfection, the very definition of flawless, so his high opinion of you should mean something. The L-rd of the universe calling your body His temple, should mean something. Ladies, burn your " I hate" list && start loving yourself, G-d does.

You are  beatiful and wonderflly made. From the top of your head to the bottom f your feet you are the very spitting inage of G-d. You are his crowning piece in creation, handmade unlike anything else in creation.

HOMEWORK: Say G-d made me && by default that makes me (insert adjective), I used Fierce. Keep saying it till it really sinks in.

I CANT AFFORD A TICKET TO HEAVEN

If it were up to me to earn G-d's love or a way into heaven i would be screwed. Even today i must have slipped up like a billion times. Sadly I'm human so till the day i die I am going to be inadequate compared to G-d's standards.
bad news:  It's impossible to win G-d's love
good news: I dont have to.

What G-d says

ROMANS 8:38-39-"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

1 JOHN 4:19-"We love, because He first loved us."

JEREMIAH 1:4-5- "The word of the LORD came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart"

Yeah, apparently G-d loves me for free and regardless of what i do. When I wake up in the morning cranky He loves me. When I cuss.. He still loves me. When I make mistakes.. He loves me. There is nothing i can do to make Him stop loving me.Trust me, I've tried. It's weird. We live in a world where love is dependent on how worthy of we are. We're conditioned to think that we have to earn love. Then here comes G-d who's  like "Screw that, I loved you before you were even born. Before time began I was madly in love with you. I must say it's nice knowing I'm loved. The fact that He loves a sinner like me makes me wanna be a better person. He sees something in me, in you something worthy of love. Yes, you may be a wreck, you may be bad girl, but you are loved.. so very loved.

YOU WERE MADE TO WORSHIP

PRAISE: to express approval or admiration of; commend; extol.

Will the whiney christians please shut up? There are a zillion reasons why I couldn't handle being G-d but at the top of the list is patience or maybe insensitivity.. ok a combination of both. I'd get so sick of hearing people complain about stupid things. "Like really your whining about some rain?! Oh my bad lemme just  stop that for ya and let the whole world dry and die all for your weather pleasure." You see? I'm getting pissed already, I''d make a horrible G-d. Althought i doubt G-d has the same sarcastic response to your prayers i so wonder if He ever gets annoyed. I mean He wakes up up in the morning, he gives us food, shelter, family, friends, and we cant break away from our "gimme more" attitude to say thanks for what we already have?! My goodness we are so spoiled.

What G-d says

Psalm 69:30-"I will praise the LORD God with a song and a thankful heart."

Psalm 103:1-2 "Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me."

Psalms 34:1 I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.

It's time to stop being such a brat. Think about how lucky you are and thank G-d for it. Every day, every minute, when your happy, when your pissed, no matter the circumstance, praise him at all times. G-d is so awesome, so worthy of awe and adoration and praise. More than our Heavenly Father and Friend He is our Creator and Saviour and that deserves some serious recognition and respect. Praise Him! Praise Him through music, through dance, through the way your speak to others, and how you live your life. Praise Him through your talents and simply praise Him in prayer.. He's more than worthy

SPIRITUAL HOMEWORK:
  • when you feel like whining..shut up.
  • when you feel like asking for more and more things..say thanks for what your already got first.

MIRACLES

Miracles are happening around us everyday. I mean like insane G-d controlled things are taking place right under our noses. I know your probably thinking "Uh well i've never seen a miracle". But i assure you, you have. a miracle is defined as something that goes against the laws of nature or a remarkable thing. Ever walked away from a car accident? Found a way to pay for college despite a recession or had your phone fall on the bathroom floor INSTEAD of the toilet? Better yet have you ever gotten Louboutins on discount? Miracle. Maybe you thing that miracles have to be things like raising people from the dead or spilitting seas. Maybe our ideas of miracles are limited to huge occurances. But It's not true, miracles come in all shapes and sizes. The fact that you are reading this , assuming you were a godless bad girl, ia a miracle. The changing of a heart and soul is deffinitaly a remarkable think and goes against the laws of our sinful nature. G-d adores us and blesses us with remarkable occurances everyday. Don't limit the value of your blessing because they aren't of cinematic proportions, because if you do your gonna miss out on the quiet miracles, the ones that really add up. Miracles are happening everyday, if you dont believe as the children of sudan, drinking clean water  for the first time thanks to selfless volunteers. Ask the ill who are healed by western medicine, or those who miraculously survived war. Miracles are happening all around us, open your eyes!

Karma

Some call it karma, others say you reap what you sow. Regardless of what you wanna call it everyone can agree you get bac what you put out there. Psalms 128:2 says your eat the fruits of your labor.this verse really got to me and had me thining, "what kinda labor am i putting out there? If karma came back around would i be safe?" In some areas of my life it was a resounding heck now. I would HATE to reap what i sow. All my selfishness, my greed, my attitude, my impatience, my infidelity... I'm getting worried just thinking about it. How about you? What naughty behavior would you hate to have turned back on you?

What G-d says

JOB 4:8-"In my experience, only those who plant seeds of evil harvest trouble." (CEV)

GALATIANS 6:7- "Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life." (MSG)

PSALMS 128:1,2- "All you who fear God, how blessed you are! how happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you've got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Revel in the goodness!"

JOHN 9:1,2- "Walking down the street, Jesus saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked, "Rabbi, who sinned: this man or his parents, causing him to be born blind?" 3-5Jesus said, "You're asking the wrong question. You're looking for someone to blame. There is no such cause-effect here. Look instead for what God can do"

This seems like a pretty obvious equation. I mean this really isn't a foreign concept. In school you understood that studying more = better grades. so why wouldn't this equation work for all areas of life?
if i want a wealthy life i need to give more, i want to be loved  so i need to be more loving, unconditionally loving. The better i make the world the better it makes me. Now that doesnt mean life is ALWAYS fair. You dont always get what you deserve. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, not as a consequence but as an instrument to make them better and to show G-d's power. And some times bad people get good things. You are a prime example of this scenrio. your a sinner what you DESERVE is a nice place in hell but what you get is salvation and a waterfront villa in heaven. In life there are choices and results think carefully about the choices your making cause they'll either come back to haunt you or bless you.

overwhelmed

“First I’m so excited and ready to take on the world && then I get so overwhelmed and feel so unprepared that I give up… and then I feel like a failure…It’s a vicious cycle.”

"Every day that I go without writing or sincere prayer I feel like im falling deeper and deeper into despair. Okay well maybe not despair but I definitely got back to my bad girl antics. I also get lazier, and all the adventures G-d has placed in front of me I feel way too tired to do them. Instead of charity work or working on my new Christian clothing line, (which I’m really excited about.) I sit on my butt and watch Tyra Banks all day. Not only do I lose touch with G-d but I swear i gain like five pounds in the process.

What G-d says

Matthew 19:26-But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Isaiah 30:15 -In quietness and trust is your strength.

Proverbs 16:3 -Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

I believe that I, correction WE are destined to do great things. Things that are so huge and monumental that without G-d’s help we wouldn’t be able to accomplish them. Satan knows that better than anyone. He knows that if he can distract us from G-d long enough those things that G-d laid out for us to do will seem impossible and we’ll give up trying to do them. That’s what happen to me, I got so busy with everything but G-d, that when it came time for Him to use me I fell short. I was too scared and too weak to do all that He asked of me. JESUS IS OUR STRENGTH let me repeat that Jesus is our strength. There is not a single thing that is worth while that we can do without him.
If your anything like me you have a narcissistic mindset that leads you to believe its not a matter of IF you can do something it’s WHEN you feel like doing it.I thought that I go all day without praying and still accomplish all these huge project set before me. To a narcissist the world revolves around you, you’re the best thing to happen to the planet, You are unstoppable. To some extent your right, you are special and wonderful and loved beyond reason… by G-d. In His eyes you are amazing; but when we stand next to Him his greatness and our weakness come shining through. There is nothing as humbling as realizing just how awesome G-d really is and how incredible it is that he loves a nothing like us. He gives us G-d sized projects, not because He thinks that we can accomplish them alone, but so He can accomplish them through us. He wants to make us greater than we ever thought we could be. Get it in your head that you need G-d. I don’t care how big and bad you think you are, you need Him. I forgot that, don’t follow in my example and forget too. moral of the story, dont get overwhelmed and quit instead go to G-d and be victorious.

Play the part but guard your heart.

Bad girl dating tips

1 play hard to get.

2. Flattery
(Repeat 1 & 2 , make him feel good and then ignore him, it’ll drive him crazy  and keep you in charge)

3. Bribery – aka. gold dig. If he want your body, he’s going to have to pay price, & by price I mean Gucci]

4. Jealousy [never stop flirting. Make him jealous and insecure. It will make him try harder

5. Never let yourself fall in love. always pretend to care but don’t let your feelings get in the way

6. Dress sexy

7. don’t be a prude, be hot & exciting you’re a bad girl not a nun

8.  Boys with girlfriend are NOT off limits..

I live by those tips I play mind games, I get a sick high off of messing with guys heads. But not once can I remember truly being happy. When the bliss of the sexual conquest was over, I was still alone or in so deep with lies that the relationship falls apart. Now I’m a huge relationship mess. I don’t trust guys because if they’re anything like me, they’re liars and players. I also think sometimes that being sexy is the best if not only way to get noticed from guys.  I mean everybody loves a bad girl, we’re sexy and fun being a sweet, nice girl just isn’t attractive.
What do guys say.
All though guys are sexually attracted to the “bad girl” imagine. They don’t take us seriously. They don’t think of us as “take home to mother” kinda girls. They love that were fun and exciting but they mostly love that were super sexual and being seen with us boost their ego.  But after a while they feel good enough about themselves and want a real relationship. That’s where good girls come in. those are the kinda girls who get boyfriends while we get hook up. So basically guys  USE bad girls and CHERISH good girls.
What does God say

1 Thessalonians 4:4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable

Song of Solomon 2:7 Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, not to awaken love until the time is right

1 Peter 3:3-4 Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

1 Corinthians 7:34-35 (The Message)

32-35I want you to live as free of complications as possible. When you're unmarried, you're free to concentrate on simply pleasing the Master. Marriage involves you in all the nuts and bolts of domestic life and in wanting to please your spouse, leading to so many more demands on your attention. The time and energy that married people spend on caring for and nurturing each other, the unmarried can spend in becoming whole and holy instruments of God. I'm trying to be helpful and make it as easy as possible for you, not make things harder. All I want is for you to be able to develop a way of life in which you can spend plenty of time together with the Master without a lot of distractions.

Your taking forever!

PATIENCE: Bearing or enduring pain, difficulty, provocation, or annoyance with calmness; Capable of calmly awaiting an outcome or result; not hasty or impulsive.

Heck no, I have no patience. I don’t like people being late even if its two mins. I have no patience for dumb people. I want things when I want them and if you make me wait, I’m pissed. I hate lines. I’d VIP everything if I could from the clubs to the bank anything to not have to wait. Patience is a virtue, one that I greatly lack. Sometimes I wish G-d was a genie and immediately after I pray he does things in the next 24 hours, like FedEx. G-d needs over night shipping, because he’s definitely on a different timeline than me.

What  God says..

Romans 5:3"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials for we know that they are good for us—they help us learn to be patient.",

James 1:3-4
"For when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. So let it grow, and don't try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete."

Ephesians 4:2 Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love."
Patience, is it for the weak?
Patience is a virtue of the Godly and the strong. Patience isn’t putting up with crap and taking it quietly. Patience is being able to handle it calmly, dignified. Patience is such an important attribute to have that G-d even allows us to run into problems just so we can better learn how to be patient.
Not to be confused with
              a. Stoicism - "bear it"
              b. Fatalism - "put up with it"
              c. Passivism - "roll with it"
              d. Escapism - "move away from it"
              e. Isolationism - "shut it out"
              f. Humanism - "deal with it"

Why be patient?
G-d is patient and we should follow his example, Patience is a reflection of love, trust, strength, and more importantly understanding.
Patience with G-d.
To be impatient with G-d is to lack trust in his timing and his way of doing things. Once you begin to grow with G-d you’ll realize that he only wants what’s best for you and if He’s not doing things in your timing it’s probably because it’s not the best alternative. He knows your today, your tomorrow, and your forever. He made all your days and he knows better than you when to do things. Be patient and trust G-d’s timing.
Patience with others
Patience with others can be very hard, but remember G-d was patient with us and if we want to be godlike we need to learn to be patient with others.

So did you hear about Alex? She such a…

Gossip, the glue of girl bonding; every girl can say that she’s been either a victim or a contributor of this guilty pleasure. We indulge in magazines trying to see who’s dating who, who got plastic surgery and who won’t eat. Our favorite morning TV hosts talk about the latest headlines. We are obsessed, no programmed, to talk about other people. Why do we care so much about what other people are doing? Are you bored? Are we just malicious? Or is it just second nature?

Proverbs 26:20 Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down
Romans 1:29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip
Proverbs 16:28 A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends

All of middle school as hell for me; I was the center of every seventh grade scandal .Not a day went by when I was in a fight or defending my reputation, they things people made up about me were ridiculous. The only time I was the center of conversation was if I someone took the focus off me and started a rumor about someone else. And there became the vicious cycle. My story is like a lot of girls, we gossip to keep the focus off our selves. Notice people who are happy and secure never need to gossip. I know that for a fact because when I went to high school and fall my own clique and I was happy and even though I still bumped into the same old catty girls I felt no need to tear them down. They didn’t matter to me; they didn’t make me feel inferior. Confidence is the enemy of gossip. Confidence gives you the strength to handle gossip, because if you don’t believe what people are saying it won’t affect you as much. The bible says says gossip is a form of wickedness, ruins friendships and only worsen fights.

I think I’m in love with you..

Psalm 136:2 Give thanks to the God of gods. His faithful love endures forever
Psalm 36:7 How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings
Romans 8:35,39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?... For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord
John 3:16.For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
John 15:13 There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends

Love makes the world go around. Love can be the greatest feelings known to man and the absent of it the worst. We indulge in movies about love, that show us fairytale stories. We listen to love songs and read romance novel *cough “Twilight”. We even have a holiday center around love. They all paint a beautiful picture, but like we so often find, an unrealistic one. I loved  many people in my life, at least I thought I did, and if you were too ask  me if I still loved them or if they loved me the answer to most of them would be no. looking back I couldn’t even call what we had love. I discovered that love is just a word that I use to manipulate ,abuse, and mislead others. Love has become confused with adoration and lust, and become ephemeral. I don’t even know how to love someone properly or be loved. The idea that someone could love me after all the horrible things I do, or after seeing me first thing in the morning, or loving me unconditionally forever seems almost impossible to fathom.

Regardless if I can fathom it or not, I know 100% that G-d loves me. He knows every horrible thing I do and think, he’s seen my first thing in the morning and through that awkward 7th grade period, and more importantly he loves me unconditionally even when I push him away. Can your boyfriend do that? John 3:16 for God so loved the world...Lets pause there. God loves EVERYONE. Think of your best friend, your enemy, your role model. He loves them all the same. Even the vilest person you can think of, G-d is madly in love with them. There’s not a thing you can do or thought you can think to disgust G-d out of loving you. And I’m sure he’s heard some crazy stuff.  G-d’s not one of those guys that just says I love you for kicks, he actually proved it. He created us for the sole purpose of friendship and even after we messed up he sent his son, his only son, to come save us. Can you imagine sending your child to be sacrificed just so you can save a world of people that  half the time hurts and curse you and the other half cheat on you with false gods. How crazy is that? What kind of love is that selfless? The answer is G-d’s love and only his love. His love is better than any fairytale.

My way or the highway

My biggest struggle with G-d has been following His will and sacrificing my own. I have huge plans and timelines and list of all the things I wanna do and if G-d were to tell me today to burn all my agendas and list and just follow his plan, I gotta be honest I don’t know if I would. Maybe it’s because I don’t think G-d would lead me down a path that would led to a Grammy or an Oscar. I know we hear celebrities thank G-d in their acceptance speeches, but how many of them actually consulted with him? I bet if they had there would be a lot more missionary and a lot less Mercedes rolling around.

proverbs 16:3    3 Commit to the Lord everything you do.Then your plans will succeed.

Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you," announces the Lord. "I want you to enjoy success. I do not plan to harm you. I will give you hope for the years to come.

1 john 2:17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever

Proverbs 16:9 We plan the way we want to live but only God makes us able to live it.
So what the deal then? Does G-d want all of us to be living in a jungle preaching to Indians? Or preachers? The answer is no. Some people were called for that adventure but most of us are called to serve God in different ways. I always thought to serve god you had to have a job in the church or be a missionary of something. No wonder I ran away from G-d; to a girl who got sick of nature at summer camp being a missionary would be the worst fate possible. But what I forget, what we all forget is G-d knows us. He’s knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what kinda of things are going to give you true joy in life and he wants those things for you. He inspired some people to sing and others he sparked an interest for science. He gave us a variety of talents to use for His glory and your happiness. Trust him. He knows what He’s doing. G-d is that father you see at pageants. Not the crazy, overbearing ones but the nice, but determined dads. You know the ones that are always signing their kid of for classes, the one who believes their child is going to be the next president so they let them intern for the governor. God’s sees something in you, and why wouldn’t he? He put it there. He sees what you were made to do and He opens so many doors to get you to the place he knows you’re going to be the happiest. G-d opens doors, but he doesn’t make you go through them. Man people aren’t doing what God has called them to do. And although they might seem fine with their lives there’s no doubt in my mind that they would be happier in the life G-d designed for them. It’s like trying to fit into a pair of heels two sizes to small. Yea they may look great but they don’t fit you and sooner or later they’re going to be more pain than good. G-d knows your size, and he has something better than you could ever imagine that’s your perfect fit.

I got a dirty mouth

.
CURSING: a profane or obscene expression of anger, disgust, surprise, etc.; oath; An appeal or prayer for evil or misfortune to befall someone or something.
From OMG to F**k you I’ve been known to say them all. I’ve been trying to quit cussing for years; to no avail. I wish they had like a patch like they do with cigarettes. Wouldn’t that be great if they had a special gum or support group to stop cussing? Well there’s not and for many people cussing is a big problem; some people don’t even see the harm in having a potty mouth. Everyone cusses, you hear it on TV, in song, I even hear profanity in a children’s movie. Cursing is becoming more and more socially accepted and why not? I mean freedom of speech right?
What God’s says

Matthew 12:36-37 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

Exodus 20:7 No using the name of God, your God, in curses or silly banter; God won't put up with the irreverent use of his name

Ephesians 4:29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good  encouragement to those who hear them.

The words you speak reveal your heart. You can claim to love G-d and be a Christian but if we go around swearing and taking his name in vain what example are we showing nonbeliever. As Christians we are called to stand apart from the world. Everything from the way we dress to the way we speak is suppose to reflect that we are followers of G-d. If people around you can’t tell that you’re a Christian what does that say about the way you act. It’s easy to get caught up in the dirty mouth movement. As babies we form our understanding of words based on what we hear. So it makes since that if you hear people around you cussing all the time that you would add profanity to your vocabulary. But don’t let that be an excuse to cuss. Don’t let your friends, TV, and music influence you to do something you know isn’t right. Just think about it, you wouldn’t cuss in a church would you? Why not? Because you know you are in a holy place. Did you forget that Christ lives in your heart? He’s always with you and every place that you go should be considered holy ground and you should act and speak appropriately .Be mindful that every OMG and every “F you” you say, will oneday -require an explanation from G-d himself. So if you insist on using profanity, be ready for the question, why do you cuss? I hope you have                      a good answer.

I want it all…

Versace, Gucci, & Louis Vuitton; they’re basically The Trinity of fashion. They’re what ever girl hope to wear. They are tangible decadence; the fine line between poor and rich. Not that I am a gold digger but I would love to marry rich. Can you imagine it? Everything you’ve every wanted in the palm of your hand. I’d spend all my days in exotic spas and on shopping sprees. I’d spend my nights dining with Hollywood’s finest and dancing in the newest, most exclusive clubs. But until that day I’ll just pray for G-d to bless me. The bible says “ask and you shall receive” right?
Psalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless.
1Timothy 6:7-10 After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. 8 So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content. But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

There are 250 references to money in the bible. Money is as important now as it was in Jesus’ time; except now we have even more temptations to indulge. You probably watch at least 30 commercials; their main goal is to convince you that you need more “things”. And I gotta say commercials work. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t add things to my “want list”. I’m always craving more than I already had. That is a sin. The bible says the love of money (and of things) is the root of all evil. Apostle Paul mocks the love of money saying one day you’re going to die and all those riches that were so important will mea nothing. You can’t take wealth to your grave. As followers of Christ we are called to be content with all things. David says the L-rd is my shepherd, I have all I need. He was the youngest of 7 children and a son of a shepherd. I’m sure everything he own was a hand me down and yet he was content, he had all he wanted. G-d saw that gracious attitude and blessed him; he later became a king and had more things he knew what to do with. Moral of the story have a gracious and content heart. Money and riches doesn’t last forever. G-d blesses those who have a content heart.

Do you trust me?

TRUST: assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something; dependence on something future
My father, my boyfriend, my friends, my teachers, basically everyone I know lies. People tend to make promises they can’t or don’t keep. Fathers promise to be there and walk out on you. Boyfriends promise to love you and they cheat on you. Teachers promise your going to pass their class and you make a D-. Even the simplest things can shake our trust like someone promising to take you out and never showing up. People aren’t reliable, it seems nearly impossible to trust them. William Shakespeare said, “Love all. Trust a few. And Alfred Adler said,” Trust only movement. Life happens at the level of events, not of words. Trust movement. If the biggest way to earn trust is thro actions and not words, and only a few people deserve our trust, who should we trust?
What God says

Psalms 40:4 4Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods.

Psalms 56:4 in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?

Proverbs 3:5."Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding"

Jeremiah 29:11 I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

Life and al its disappointments teach us not to trust. In a society where its hard to trust your own parents the idea of trust God seems ridiculous. We don’t believe he’s listening to our trivial problems an if he is, he doesn’t care enough to help us. That’s were we’re wrong; God is madly in love with us and wants to take care of every detail of our lives. But there is a catch. You must sacrifice human understanding and your timeline. This is the hardest part about trusting God. We have stuck in our heads HOW and WHEN things should be accomplished. We expected Go to do everything the way we want it and when he doesn’t we stop trusting him and put things into our own hands. Look at Noah, it must have been crazy for him to build a boat when it had never rained .And it wasn’t like as soon as he was done building the boat it rained; no he had to wait 120 years before it rained. God’s way is DIFFERENT from our way, but it is always BETTER. God is that big brother to protect you from bullies, he’s your best friend’s hug after a break up. God’s your go to guy, because he loves you. He wants to protect you from all harm. And more importantly he wants what’s best for you he has a wonderful life already planned out for you. All you have to do is trust his path and “lean not on your own understanding”.
